Mu Pan immigrated to the United States in 1997. Coming from his native country of Taiwan, Mu landed in New York City at the School of Visual Arts where he received his Undergraduate and Masters of Fine Arts. From the mythological to reality, from Chinese to English by way of a Japanese sensibility, Pan’s work is an exercise in translation. It’s a world that he creates and defines by his own word play. Mu Pan has exhibited his works on the West Coast and in New York City.
