Michael Reafsnyder lives and works in Southern California. A life time resident, he received his master's degree from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA. Over the past 15 years Reafsnyder has shown that happiness and humor don't only have a place in art, but are the key ingredients in his signature stew that is part Abstract Expressionism, part figuration, part color-field, and part Sunday morning cartoons.

Along with his many recent exhibitions on the West Coast, Reafsnyder's work has also been exhibited in Australia, Spain, Austria, Germany and Singapore. His work is in various private and public collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Portland Art Museum, and the Las Vegas Art Museum among others.
